The path to re:balanced books llc was a long and winding one, but our founder, Kristen Baker, wouldn't have had it any other way.

In 2016, Kristen created her original business in anticipation of leaving the corporate legal world, but her opportunity to do so didn't present itself until the summer of 2019. Yet, as soon as it did, Kristen jumped in feet first and never looked back.

What started as a legal administrative services business with only three law firm clients, by the end of 2024, Kristen's client list had grown exponentially. While the emphasis on the scope of services had morphed to primarily bookkeeping services over the last few years, Kristen had been honing both skillsets for nearly 25 years.

 ​

​Whatever the services being provided, Kristen always strives to work in partnership with her clients, providing high quality results that allow those who engage her to not only spend less time focused on the day-to-day of running a business but also give them the opportunity to see it flourish.

Kristen has an amazing and supportive husband who makes sure she take breaks and remembers to eat lunch, a teenage son who reminds her that she's not as cool as she used to be, and two rambunctious dogs who always - somehow - end up being employees of the month.
